For contractors and remodelers

The estimate your client approves is the job your crew builds.

Price every line from hours, cost and markup. Send one link: the client approves or declines with a note, and the approved price locks. Changes come as change orders; the field reports extra work with a photo; invoices follow the estimate.

How it works

From the first visit to the last payment, one record per job.

01

Price it

Add the property and the project, then the estimate: labor in production hours, material at cost plus your markup, sales tax only when you apply it.

02

Send one link

The client opens the estimate without an account, approves with their name or declines with a note. You see it the moment it happens.

03

Build and bill

Work orders go to the crew or a subcontractor, extra work comes back with photos, and invoices — deposit, progress, final — come from the approved estimate.

Estimates & invoices

Every price has a basis. Every approved price stays put.

Your client sees what they pay — never your cost, your markup or what you pay a subcontractor.

calculate

Priced from a basis

Hours × your rate, material cost × your markup. A line without a basis is refused, so no number is a guess.

link

Client portal by link

One link per document. Approve with a typed name, decline with a note, print or save as PDF. A new version replaces the old link.

lock

Approved means locked

After approval nobody edits the lines, the tax or the total — not even the owner. Notes and contact can still change.

difference

Change orders

New work or a new price is its own document, linked to the original, approved by the client on its own.

contract

Contract signed in MyESign

The contract comes from the approved estimate; the signature happens in MyESign and the contract follows its status.

receipt_long

Invoices that add up

Deposit and progress by your percent, final for what is left, never more than the estimate. Overdue invoices are marked every morning; payments are recorded.

In the field

The crew sees the work, not the money.

Each role gets its own screen from the server: the crew and subcontractors never receive prices, costs or client contacts.

  • assignmentWork ordersAccept, schedule, start and complete; completing needs an after photo.
  • add_a_photoExtra work with a photoFound rot behind the wall? The crew reports it with a photo; the office approves and turns it into a change order.
  • menu_bookDaily logBuilt from the photos, tasks and work orders of the day, with notes and delays; printable for the client without crew names.
  • engineeringSubcontractors per work orderA subcontractor sees only the work orders in their name — nothing of other jobs.

Questions

What contractors ask first

Does my client need an account to approve an estimate?expand_more

No. You send one link; the client opens the estimate, approves by typing their name or declines with a note. Clients you invite to the team can also see all their documents after signing in.

Can someone change the price after the client approves?expand_more

No. An approved estimate is locked — lines, tax and total. New work or a new price goes in a change order that the client approves on its own.

Will my crew or subcontractors see my prices?expand_more

No. Each role receives only its version from the server. Crew and subcontractors get the work, never prices, costs or client contacts; the client never sees your cost or markup.

Does Construtech send e-mails to my clients on its own?expand_more

No. Sending gives you the link right away; an e-mail to the client waits in Pending sends until the company owner gives the GO.

Can clients pay online?expand_more

Not yet. Today you record checks, ACH, wires and other payments on each invoice, and the balance and overdue status update.

Which languages does it speak?expand_more

English, Portuguese and Spanish. Each person picks a language and sees screens, documents and the client portal in it.

Who owns the records?expand_more

Your company. Every change keeps who made it and when, the owner can export the data at any time, and we do not share your records with AI providers.
